What is the difference between the Configurator and Customizer in Alter Product?
The Configurator lets you choose from predefined options such as color, size and material. The Customizer, available in selected plans, lets you add your own graphics, text, patterns and QR codes directly to a product. Business plans combine both tools for greater flexibility.
Is real-time pricing available in all Business plans?
Yes. Real-time pricing works in all Business plans. The price updates automatically when the size, material, quantity or other options change, so the cart receives the correct amount.
Is creating custom 3D models included in the subscription?
Yes — you can create 3D models yourself using the 3D model generator available in every plan, including the free plan. The number of saved projects depends on your chosen plan. If you need the Alter Product team to help create a model, contact us for an individual quote.
Can I try Alter Product before buying?
Yes. Start with the free plan or activate a 14-day trial of a paid plan to try tools such as the Customizer, mockup generation, print export, embedding on your own website and the plugin. During the trial, you have access to all tools included in your chosen plan, within its limits.
Are there any extra costs beyond the subscription price?
Your subscription covers the features and limits of your selected plan. If you use AI with BYOK, the provider bills generation to your own account, with no additional AI credit fees from Alter Product. Budget separately for any external services you use, such as hosting, AWS S3, a domain, POD production and shipping, as well as any individually quoted services. Additional embed sessions and transfer are purchased separately.
What is the cancellation policy for Alter Product plans?
You can cancel your subscription at any time in your account dashboard. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. Automatic purchases of session and transfer reserves are managed separately in Subscription management.
Which payment methods can I use for my subscription?
We accept secure credit and debit card payments via Stripe. VAT invoices are automatically issued after each payment and can be downloaded from your account settings.
Does upgrading reset my embed-session usage?
Upgrading increases your monthly embed-session limit while keeping the sessions already used in the current month. Usage does not reset to zero.
How do purchased embed sessions and data transfer work?
You can buy sessions and data transfer in Subscription Management with an Alter Product account, even before choosing a plan. Your plan allowance is used first, then the purchased reserve, earliest expiry first. Each purchase carries over for up to six calendar months from payment; later purchases and plan changes do not extend it. Buying sessions does not increase file transfer; transfer can be purchased separately.
How does automatic refill work?
Enable automatic refill in Subscription Management, separately for embed sessions and data transfer. Choose a package, a minimum purchased reserve balance (number of sessions or GiB of transfer) and an optional monthly spending cap including tax. When the unexpired reserve reaches or falls below the threshold, the system buys the entire selected package. Plan allowances do not count towards the threshold; 0 means an empty reserve. If the remaining budget does not cover the whole package including tax, the purchase will not start. Payment may take a moment. Resource depletion blocks new sessions or metered downloads only when both the corresponding plan allowance and reserve are empty.
Can I use my own AWS S3 storage with WooCommerce?
Yes. The WordPress plugin includes a storage module for your own private AWS S3 bucket. You can also migrate assets and projects from your WordPress server to S3. You can expand that storage without an additional storage fee from Alter Product. AWS charges your account for storage, requests and applicable transfer; your WordPress hosting costs still apply because WordPress serves the files. Storing and serving files from your infrastructure does not use Alter cloud storage or transfer allowances. Your own storage and bandwidth depend on your hosting or AWS service. Transfer includes files and shared models downloaded from Alter. JS/CSS/WASM does not reduce your transfer allowance.
What is unlimited on your own server with Business plans?
Business plans let you store unlimited Designer and 3D model generator projects on your own infrastructure and publish unlimited Customizers, Configurators and Viewers on WordPress or your own server. Alter Product does not limit their number or changes to Customizer product assignments. An eligible active plan, embed sessions and applicable Alter cloud transfer allowances are still required. Customizers saved in Alter Product cloud retain the selected plan’s capacity limit. Your own storage and bandwidth depend on your hosting or AWS service.
